A Different Way to Heal Your Back

If you're living with back pain, you've probably been pulled between rest, medication, treatments, and conflicting advice, without ever feeling like you understand what's actually going on in your body.

These sessions take a different approach. Instead of trying to "fix" you, we work together to uncover the movement habits, breathing patterns, and tension responses that may be feeding your pain, and build the awareness and tools to change them.

My role isn't to heal you. It's to guide you toward healing yourself.

Who is this for

These sessions can help if you're dealing with:

. Chronic or recurring back pain

. General stiffness and tension

. Fear of movement after an injury

. Sciatica-type symptoms

. Recovery after being medically cleared

. A desire to move with more confidence and less discomfort

This approach asks something of you. It's not a passive treatment, it works for people who are willing to show up, put in consistent effort, and take responsibility for their own healing. If you're ready to engage with that process, this can be a powerful path forward.

If you're experiencing severe pain, new neurological symptoms, loss of bladder/bowel control, unexplained weakness, or a recent traumatic injury, please see a qualified healthcare professional first.

Components

What makes this approach unique

Most approaches treat the symptom. This work focuses on the conditions that let your body recover on its own, through movement, breath, awareness, and daily habits, not quick fixes.

The key principle we stand by: at every step, you should feel the benefit immediately. If a movement, a breath, or a habit shift doesn't bring some sense of relief or ease in the moment, it's not the right step yet. Healing isn't something to push through, it's something you should feel happening, gradually, moment by moment.

We'll explore: movement patterns, breathing, stress and tension responses, body awareness, relaxation strategies, and the daily behaviours shaping your pain.

What is a Session Like

Sessions are tailored to you and may include delicate spinal exploration, gentle mobility work, breathing and relaxation practices, body-awareness exercises, and habit and lifestyle coaching, paired with education so you understand the why behind it all.

You leave with tools you can actually use in daily life, but using them is up to you. The work between sessions matters as much as the work during them.

The Goal

Not to make you dependent on anyone, to make you capable and autonomous. To help you understand your body, move with confidence, build better habits, and take an active role in your own recovery.

Healing isn't something done to you. It takes real effort, consistency, and a willingness to change old patterns. But with the right guidance and that effort, you can create the conditions where healing becomes possible and feel it happening every step of the way.

Disclaimer: I'm not a physician, physiotherapist, chiropractor, or licensed healthcare provider, and don't diagnose or treat medical conditions. This is educational guidance to support self-exploration and lifestyle change, not medical advice. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical concerns.

FAQ

  • This is not a medical treatment. Rather than treating a diagnosis, we work on the habits, awareness, and patterns that may be sustaining your pain, empowering you to become an active participant in your own recovery.

  • It depends on the individual. Some people feel significant shifts quickly, others need more time. What matters most is your consistency and commitment between sessions, not just during them.

  • Sessions take a place at a private studio/gym in YUL building close to concordia and lucien l’allier metro stations.

    Address: 1400 Boul. René-Lévesque Ouest, Montréal, QC H3G 1T6

  • This approach is often most useful for people who have tried everything else. Chronic pain is frequently maintained by deeply rooted habits and patterns that conventional treatments don't address, that's exactly what this work focuses on.

  • No, most people come precisely because they are in pain. Sessions are adapted to what your body can handle on any given day.
